I wrote the song “She’s away” when I was 17 years old.
It’s the first truly autobiographical heartbreak song I wrote.
Now, many many, years later I saw the song in my lyrics-book and I thought…lets record it.
I’ve left the lyrics and music unchanged. The text was written by a boy who became a man. Also the choice of words was common those days, in other words, a little childish, but sincere.
- She's Away 1971 Lodie
She’s away. 1971
Verse:1
She’s away, maybe for one day.
She’s was mine, but only for a while.
What should I do, I wanna be with you.
Chorus:1
I wanna be with you, day and night.
I wanna live with you, by your side.
I wanna change my life, let my try.
I give my love to you, only you.
Verse:2
I love you more, than words can say.
But your love, ain’t for me.
Please give me a chance.
Please give me your hand.
Chorus: 2x
I wanna be with you, day and night.
I wanna live with you, by your side.
I wanna change my life, let my try.
I give my love to you, only you.
